RAYMOND SLOWINSKI

Raymond Slowinski moved to Florida in 1972 from California. He became a referee in 1975. During 1976-78 he was a Board of Directors member if the Coral Springs Soccer Association and coached the U8 boys and the U12 girls.

Ray moved to England from 1978 to 1980 and refereed in the Southern League and Pub League. He also received invitations to speak at the Referee Society meeting.

Ray returned to Florida in 1980. He became an assessor in 1982 and in 1983 was the first State Director of Assessment (SDA) in Florida all the while coaching U19, &U16 boys and girls travel teams. In 1987 he attended the first National Assessors Course in Miami.

Ray moved to Connecticut in 1987 but returned in 1996 where he continued to assess and referee regularly. In 2002 Ray became the SDA for the second time a position he held until 2018. Ray continued to referee in high school, NISOA, and USSF games as well as assessing Professional league games, International games, college, and High School games

Ray was inducted in the FLSRC Hall of Fame in 2013
